Due to CORONAVIRUS all requests for appointments will be triaged by either our nurses or one of the doctors. Trained reception staff will ask you for a brief description of your symproms in order to prioritise care. A GP will arrange to see you if deemed appropriate

It is important you do not attend the surgery unless advised to so by a healthcare professional.

Your co-operation will be appreciated

Extended Hours

The practice offers evening appointments three nights a week at Edinburgh Road surgery to suit those patients who experience difficulty in accessing our services due to work commitments. This service has been temporarily suspended

Telephone Advice

Doctors offer telephone consultations to patients who do not require to be examined. This may involve a video consultation via Attend Anywhere with either the Practice Nurse, Pharmacist or one of the doctors. If you are invited to have a video consultation please enter this link

Due to the high volume of calls please be advised that the practice will only make one attempt to contact you for routine matters. Please ensure you are available and that we have the correct telephone number for doctor to return your call.

Medical students and Nursing students attend the practice from time to time. We hope that you will co-operate with us and help the students to learn about general practice. However, you will be informed of their presence in advance, and if you do not want them to be present at a consultation, your wishes will be respected. This will not affect your treatment in any way.

Access to Doctors/Nurses

In keeping with Government guidelines we are working towards an appointment system that allows access to a doctor or nurse within 48hrs.  Given our current staffing levels we are not always able to meet this, particularly at times of high demand.  However, we guarantee to see anyone the same day if considered necessary.
